When you wish upon a blog...

Hi, friends! I'm off work today, still hanging out in my home state! I won't be home until tomorrow evening, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get bridal shower and bachelorette recaps up this week. I just posted my May budget, and I was supposed to be on a shopping ban for June, but whether I plan on buying anything or not, there's always at least one item on my wishlist. Here are some of my current wishlist items.

These sandals (in almond) have been on my wishlist since at least last summer now. I really need to just pull the trigger, but it's hard for me to buy things full price (at least if they're over $25). I think before we get too far into summer I need to just bite the bullet and go for it. I know I'd get plenty of use out of them.

I've talked about this jumpsuit before. I bought it in black, 75% expecting to hate it, and I loved it! I saw this in person on Michael's cousin and the pattern is even cuter in person than it looks online. I have $20 Old Navy cash to spend between May 30th and June 6th (plus I have a 20% off code from a snafu with a previous ON order). Sizes in this are dwindling, but if it's still available in that period, I'll probably snatch it up. (I know I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban, but I can't pass up $20 off + 20% off + whatever other promo code they're running at the time.)

When I went to get the link for the jumpsuit, I actually stumbled upon this romper. At first I thought it was polka-dotted, but it's actually a cool diamond print (kind of looks Loft-esque to me). I would consider pairing this with the jumpsuit above in my Old Navy order (free shipping!).

I've been wanting a cute weekender for a few months now. I'd use it as a carry-on when we fly down to Michael's parents' and for my stuff when we go visit my parents or go on other weekend trips. Target has sooo many cute ones. These are four of my favorites. They never seem to go on sale enough for me to feel like purchasing though (although as I'm writing this, the floral one is on sale and about $7 off, which is a little bit tempting). I just always feel like the opportunity cost (I did learn something in economics!) is too great. I'd rather spend $35 on clothes than a weekender...but since this isn't a need (I'm doing just fine with my ugly bag), it would have to be included in my monthly budget!

There you have it! I tried to make this brief, but I'm a rambler. (I always read blogs where they do a picture and a sentence, a picture and a sentence...and I want to be them! But I can't stop myself.)

Do you have any items on your wish list?

Linking up with Ashley for Monday Madness!

  1. I posted those sandals a while ago. Someone mentioned that they have seen them at Marshall's for way less!!

  2. A weekend bag would be nice, love your choices.

  3. I can't get enough of rompers at the moment!! Plus it's always the best when you can combine enough for free shipping!

  4. target's overnight bags are the best. i have a really cute floral one that i LOOOVE. good luck with the no-spend ban. sounds like it's going well so far ;) hahaha

  5. Love that romper and the floral weekender bag! So cute! Love your list. Thanks for linking up today!

  6. Save up for those sandals! I've worn them almost everyday for the past three summers. They go with everything. They're a little uncomfortable for the first few weeks each year, but they break in nicely. (I'm now on pair number two. They last about two summers with tons of wear.)

  7. I lusted after those sandals for two summers before I finally bit the bullet and bought them this year. I would definitely go for it...I feel like I searched so many places but couldn't find anything I really, really like that was similar and cheaper.

  8. I have those Sam Edelman sandals in white. I actually found them at TJMaxx for $25 but I think that they are worth their full price, especially since the almond ones that you are interested in are neutral so you could wear them all summer.

  9. Yes - I saw those sandals at Marshall's for, like, $24.99 or something. But I have to tell you... I tried them on and they are so flat that they're not comfortable. At least not for me! They may work for you, though! I hope so!
    Have a good one!
