Confessions: I'm a genius.

You may have noticed my absence lately. It's not because I'm behind on replying to comments (which I most certainly am), it's because sometimes life throws things at you. I haven't even been able to think about writing posts or reading blogs or commenting, but I had these three confessions already written up for your reading pleasure, so I figured I'd post them. (Note: I may just scrap replying to the comments in my inbox unless they have a question in them or something. I don't know if it's worth the stress of trying to catch up when I'm back.)

You guys...this might be my favorite confession of all time, because it's the most ridiculous thing I've maybe ever done. (It's a long one, but I think it's worth it.) Last Wednesday night I was frantically looking around for my jewelry. Somehow, I had packed a few necklaces in our move in plastic bags, along with rings and earrings...but I couldn't find the rest of my jewelry. So on Wednesday, I was running around, looking in drawers and boxes and purses and everywhere and just making exasperated grunting noises and I think Michael was scared of me. I had kind of sort of looked the night before, but this night I was determined. There was this one necklace that I've had since high school and always wear a ton in the spring and summer, and I had been wondering for a few days where it was. Before that, I had been wondering where my one and only Kendra Scott necklace was for months. Look at the below picture.
Do you see that turquoise/leopard print little thing in between my clothes and shoe rack? Do you know what that is? It's a jewelry holder. It holds jewelry, in case that wasn't clear. Meaning it held all my "missing" jewelry. And I can't even say it's in a side of my closet I never open. I have to open that side every single day to pick out my shoes. And it's been there for months...since the day we moved in. #facepalm #babygenius

Whenever I saw posts with 'comments turned off' I always wondered how to do it. I finally figured it out a week ago (for my Thursday post) and it was seriously the easiest thing ever and I can't believe it took me so long. #bloggingnovice #technologicallychallenged

I ACCIDENTALLY ALMOST SAID 'SUPPOSABLY' THE OTHER DAY! Oh the humanity! Seriously, it was mostly out. You could tell that's what I was saying. So I immediately said, "supposeDLY" and yes, I emphasized it just like that. Because that is one of my pet peeves. #supposably #embarrassing #IpromiseIspeakEnglish

  1. Hope everything's okay!! And I did lol at the jewelry thing because I did something like that recently too. Every time we move I pack my jewelry up in the weirdest ways, like in tissue inside a plastic bag inside of a shoe. I could really use a jewelry case. Anyways, who cares about comments just delete them all, deal with your life girl! xoxo

  6. I'm so behind on my comments too!! But I definitely think you should still respond to them :) so people know they're loved haha. We just gotta sit down and respond to them.

Last night I spent 30 minutes looking for the phone that I was talking into to my mother.......she didn't realize I was looking for my phone though, she thought it was my keys. So I totally get that on just not remembering. But I'm so glad you found your jewelry!! Yay!

  9. I hate when something is seriously right in front of you and you totally miss it! I feel like I do that all the time because I'm not very observant. I'm glad that you found your missing jewelry though!

  10. I am totally one to miss something that is right in front of my face - aka that jewelry holder. Glad you found it though!

  11. Haha, I was going to suggest turning off comments after reading your first few lines! I've totally "lost" items that were directly in front of me- so annoying. Glad you "found" it though! Happy Hump Day!

  12. I hope everything is okay! :) I have done the exact same thing when trying to "find" something! Rebecca mentioned losing things in between hangers in her closet... yep, I've "lost" several shirts that way :(. And I have seen fellow co-workers use "supposably" in their notes on a case. Not cool, haha.

  13. Ugh, I hate when I can't find something and then I double-hate when it turns up right under my nose! And "suppoasbly," eeeeek, haha! I totally would have cringed if I had said it! I hope you're ok! Although I've been slacking on blogging for the last few months, so I certainly know that feel. I just don't have the energy to write as much as I used to, which I'm hoping is just the winter doldrums!

  14. I feel like we all have those moments where we lose something and it is in an obvious place. Thanks for sharing and I hope everything is ok on your end!

  15. Oh girl, you are not alone. I totally do that (lose something in plain sight) all the time!

  16. Ummm... I'm judging you for suposebly. ;-)

  17. So glad you eventually found the necklaces!!!!!!! All the praise hands. And that supposedly thing bothers me too! (My husband LOVES when I correct him on it ;). And don't feel like you have to reply to this comment! Just read it and know I love your blog :)
