Confessions: Fitbit & Face Swap

I used to always go into the first stall in the bathroom at work, but since I started wearing my Fitbit again, I go into the last one. It probably gives me a maximum of ten steps per trip. #I'lltakewhatIcanget #Fitbitrulesmylife

I unfollowed another blogger based on her personal views. (I mentioned that I did so once before here.) It's none of you that comment regularly, so don't worry. It's also not a blog I read or commented on very regularly. #sorrynotsorry

We pretty much always have the TV on to try and distract Tully from noises outside because she's a barker. I usually immediately choose HGTV, and lately Love it or List it has been on a lot. Am I the only one who always always always hopes they list it? #TeamDavid #Iwouldn'tlistitthough #becausemovingsucks

Speaking of Tully barking like crazy, I mentioned that she wakes me up and keeps me up pretty often. My Fitbit told me I was getting like five hours of sleep, maximum. The window in our bedroom faces the sidewalk where people constantly walk by, so Tully will always put her paws on the windowsill, look out, and bark. We went ahead and moved our TV in front of the window so she can't do that anymore. It looks ridiculous, and you wouldn't normally want to cover your window, but we can't open the blinds anyway or she freaks out when she sees people. I'm sleeping so much better now, but the corner of the bedroom where the TV was before is super empty now...another trip to IKEA might be in order to fill the space. #needmybeautysleep #winning

I have to admit though, the first time Tully heard something and wanted to look out the window, it broke my heart. She started whining once she realized she couldn't get to the window. :( #softie #IloveyoubutIneedsleep #andforourneighborsnottocomplain

I went to Target after work on Monday to buy dog treats...but I couldn't resist checking out the swimwear and the activewear. Why does Target have so many cute swimsuits and the best fun patterned leggings?! I walked out of there with a wishlist a mile long. #damnyouTarget #takemymoney

Michael downloaded Face Swap, and the results are hilarious/horrific. He posted this picture on Facebook on Monday night. In every single one, his face with my hair looks like a total deadbeat weirdo. Michael hasn't had his hair cut since November...2014. He grew it out because he wanted to have a man bun, and eventually he wants to chop it all off and donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I told him it's a good thing he has curly hair, because his face with long straight hair is not a good look. #faceswap #terrifying

I got to the gym last night only to realize I forgot my socks. So, like a true champion, I just wore the Christmas socks I was already wearing. At first I just pushed them down as far as I could, but when I got on the treadmill I could feel them creeping up. I was super embarrassed about it. Before Zumba I took my shoes off and folded them over so they weren't as visible. #neverforgettingsocksagain #ChristmasinFebruary

  1. Our dog is a mild barker (I'm not sure if that's a word, but whatever) when he sees something outside but if he is not in the same room as us, he is FREAKING OUT. Which can be problematic if you know what I mean. It's so so so so so annoying. I literally LOLed at the last stall/Fitbit comment! Get those steps, girl!

  2. I saw that face swap on facebook and was like whooooa.. haha. At first I had to wonder if you became the bearded lady. I should try that out with Kyle, we'd like insane since we're a different skin tone and all.

Sorry about the TV in the window, but I totally get what you mean! We moved our bed in front of a window to help block out the lights from other cars (we live on a corner :( ) and it has helped a lot. But hopefully Tully has adjusted and found new windows to look through :)

Haha about the gym socks, I don't do any classes at the gym, but seriously, the other day (two months ago) I went in my crocs because I had no idea where my shoes walked off too aka Sophie hid them after wearing them. And I'm sure people looked at me weirdly.

  3. Ugh I get so mad when they "love it" for some reason lol. Like, I know it's probably fake anyways but I usually like the new houses they look at and it's always like people with like 10 kids who need more space anyways, so JUST MOVE!! Lol...and that face swap thing is creeping me out so bad!!! Not just you guys, everyone who posts one, I'm like..ah look away lol. It's so weird!!

  4. I love when you admit that you unfollow bloggers. I don't know why, but it makes me laugh! Haha! (And then I want to go see what controversial thing they said to make you leave!)
I leave TCM on for my dogs because it's noisy and the black and white tends to distract them (especially in storms, ha).
Your confessions are cracking me up, but that face swap is AMAZING. Michael kind of looks like a skeezy-Brad Pitt with your hair.... HAHA!

  5. Haha! I always make sure I have a ton of Love It Or List It recorded for when my husband goes out of town! It makes it so much easier to have something on that I don't have to super pay attention to. That Face Swap is so creepy, but I know my husband would love to do it too! That's too funny about your Christmas socks! I've been known to wear weird socks, but that's because I didn't have any clean normal ones!

  6. I love that you go to the back stall for ten extra steps! Haha! A don't have a Fitbit but it would totally also rule my life like that if I did! And that face swap, omg! I'm almost afraid to try that with my husband because I think the results would be horrifying!
    Love these confessions!

  7. OMG the face swap thing - SO hilarious and slightly creepy? HAHA! I saw another friend do that on Facebook and it was so funny. Nice work on the last bathroom stall, anything to get those steps in!!

  8. haha... I've been known to have to sport some ugly socks.
that face swap - that is disturbing!!!
Our dog used to lay on the back of our couch & watch the cows across the street. I could never move my room around because that was her spot. They finally got rid of the cows so i felt like it was OK to move the couch from the spot. Our dog was heartbroken.. I felt so bad.
I always like using the first stall because its proven its the cleanest - most people tend to go to the 2nd or 3rd. I'm all about learning about germs :)

  9. I love the Face Swap app - my extended family is so into it's creepy. Half of our text messages are face swaps. If I had a Fitbit, I would totally walk to the last stall too.

  10. Cocoa does not want anyone anywhere near her house!! She will go crazy. Getting woke up randomly by a barking dog is so not fun!! I have to look for a new swimsuit this year. Target are affordable and so cute.

  11. I love that idea for the Fitbit because every step really does count. I always park as far away as I can too (and feel all good about myself until I come out of Target weighed down with five bags). By the way, that photo is absolutely hilarious! I gotta download that app. So glad to start following your blog again, I missed reading your posts!

  12. hey, I've been there with the socks! ha! So funny. And poor Tully! You can tell we are animal lovers as our neighbor's dog barks constantly and our main concern is if the well-being of the dog is okay. Face Swap is always hilarious!!

  13. Oh that Face Swap, and you're both still so stinkin cute!! Oh darn you Target, so much goodness while I'm trying to save, lol!! Fun post!!

  14. haha i always hope they list it as well! stuff always goes wrong in their house, but the new house is perfect.
bahahaha you go with your christmas socks!

  15. That face swap thing is NOT okay! YIKES! But hilarious! I might just have to try it. ;)

Sad day about all the barking! Thankfully we live in a really quiet cove so there's rarely people for our dog to bark at, but there are a ton of stray cats and oh my gracious, he loses his mind every time he sees one. He may have gone through a window one time... Yeaaah... anyway, I hope you start sleeping more!

  16. I have been thinking about going to the furthest stall, too, because of my Garmin. Gotta get in those steps. But unfortunately, it is just a thought and I have yet to do it. Too funny about your socks, I am sure you won't forget them again!

    ReplyDelete
  17. i always go to the furthest stall because it's the least busy which means less germs!

  18. I need to try that Face Swap app. It looks hilarious! The socks story is the best-nothing wrong with Christmas in February. ;)

  19. I love Love It Or List It. Definitely a favorite of mine. I love most HGTV shows haha. Ok that Faceswap is creepy. But I also want to try it out.

  20. I always want them to list it, too. Love that show. OMG the Face Swap picture has me cracking up! What a fun app! :)

  21. Face swap is so funny! I love that you rocked your Christmas socks anyway-- I probably would have used that as an excuse not to work out and would have just skipped over something so silly. And now I want to go to Target to check out all of the new stuff!

  22. Face Swap kind of creeps out, seriously. I don't think I could do it to any of my pictures. Aww, Tully! I would probably feel the same way as you if I had a dog but yes, sleep is necessary! Oh Target... I have a few things saved that I have been wanting recently. I guess it's a good thing that it's still cold here so that I don't feel the need to actually buy it (since it's all spring stuff anyway)!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hahaha I've totally done that sock thing before! It always happens when you have the craziest socks on too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Aint no shame in your Christmas sock wearing game!!!! That face swap is insanity!!! And ever since I got my fitbit, I park further away from stores even when there is plenty of close parking (unless it is raining!!!!) I chose things that are further away, I run in place when I brush my teeth, fill my water bottle, cook dinner, whatever. It is insane how little steps you get when you work a desk job. You gotta get moving else where to make up for it!

  25. Cracking up about your face swap, over here. Never let Michael straighten his hair. Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Face. Swap. HAHAHAHA

I have worn the wrong socks and/or no socks to the gyms more times than I care to remember. The rolling over trick never works and wearing running shoes with no socks is just as horrific as it sounds haha! Your poor dog...she just wants to be where the people are!!! #nowimsinging #littlemermaid

  27. Have you ever read any of the behind-the-scenes details about Love It or List It? Very...eye-opening.

I have a barker of a dog, too. Luckily she sleeps in a crate, so she's quiet at night unless another dog has the nerve to bark (or wear a jingly collar...).

  28. You are the first person to inform me that fitbit can tell you how many hours you sleep. (yes, I'm late to the fitbit party. I've just started considering that I need one.)

Girlie, you can follow, read, unfollow whoever/whatever blogger you want. It's your time, your space, your life. Don't feel guilty! In fact, I need to do some major house-cleaning in this department.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That picture is horrifying lol. So cool that he plans to donate his hair though! I've done it twice and am growing it out again now.
The unfollow thing happens. I unfollow when people's lives change drastically and then that's all they ever talk about, like if they have a baby and all of a sudden become "mommy bloggers" and don't talk about themselves anymore. I can't relate and I become uninterested. No need to feel guilty about it!

  30. HGTV is on constantly at our house too--it's like my dad's favorite channel! HOWEVER, Love It or List It always gets a lot of groans, like "aw man!" haha! His favorite is Flip or Flop, and I've seen so many of them that I can recite the open lines: "Sometimes, sight unseen..." "SOLD!" "That's not bad, it's just cosmetic: paint, flooring..." HAHA!!

  31. Have you downloaded the face swap video app? I think it's just called Face Swap Live. We played with it aaaaall weekend and I died of laughter the whole time. It's sooo creepy!

  32. I love Love It or List It! I swear Hilary barely does any changes because gage always has to fix stupid stuff that the homeowners should have already done if they were responsible. Some of the things these people complain about are so hilarious. Maybe if you weren't a hoarder and were a little more organized you'd have more "storage space!" Haha

    1. Not sure why my comment says "gage always has to fix stupid stuff." Lol stupid autocorrect it's supposed to say "she always had to fix stupid stuff."
