Wedding Wednesday: Ceremony

Today I'm going to be sharing the details of our wedding ceremony! We were married in a Catholic church in Seattle. Michael's dad is a deacon so he performed the ceremony, which was really special.

I didn't include the processions of everyone because I thought that would get boring. But I included our moms, and our flower girl (Michael's cousin's baby) walking with Michael's sisters.

I was so happy to walk down with both of my dads. My father walked me from the beginning, and we met with my (step)dad in the middle, because--I don't think I've mentioned this on the blog--he had a foot amputated over the summer, so walking was very tiring (and slow-going) for him.

Michael's pink socks are in support of his mom, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Michael's dad wore pink socks too.

This was one of my favorite pictures. We gave this one to Michael's dad in a frame for Christmas and he loved it!

I'm linking up with Macy for Wedding Wednesday.

  14. Love the mementos to everyone. Especially to Michael's mom. My cousin just beat breast cancer this past September. It's really tough.

And that's so sweet that you had both of your fathers walk you down :) I bet your stepfather really appreciated that. I feel like sometimes stepparents get ragged on, we dont' have any on my side of the family but Kyle does, and they are truly wonderful.

    Your ceremony was really beautiful.
